I Love NY!

Who doesn’t though, right?

We had a great time – albeit too short – for my sweetie’s first visit to the Big Apple. We walked and walked and walked and ate and hit some great sites – the Empire State Building, the 9/11 Museum, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, a Broadway show, Times Square…and still we missed so much!

We must go back!

I had been a handful of times before when I was in graduate school in Massachusetts. One year a group of us drove to the city for a day of ice skating in Central Park. There is something to be said for living back East where you can drive a couple of hours and hit three or four states. Or hop on a train and be in a new city in a matter of hours.

In any event, I hope you enjoy a few shots from our trip…

The Conde Nast Building: Maybe someday I will have an editorial meeting to attend here, how cool would that be?

The Brooklyn Bridge lends itself to b/w photography.

I think we may have found our dopplegangers!

Central Park:

I love this juxtaposition of old and new architecture.

I love the juxtaposition of old and new.

A Brooklyn Bridge Abstract:

Every city has hidden gardens, it is always a treat to find one!

We really enjoyed my sweetie’s first Broadway Musical, Kinky Boots,  and somehow I ended up getting a selfie and an autograph with the star of the show!

We stumbled upon the quiet and charming Seaport District and fell in love

The historic and iconic Flatiron Building:

Look at those steaks!

I love seeing a policeman on horseback on city streets:

Moon over Manhattan!

Some mementos from our trip…none as sweet as our memories…looking forward to many more visits.

What are your favorite NYC spots? Memories? Stories? I’d love to hear about them in the comments.
