T.G.I.F. ~ Thank Goodness it’s February!

I am so glad January is over.

I feel like I am coming out of the post-holiday/flu funk I have been in since my birthday, for the most part.

Now I’m in the full bloom of my allergy season and feel like scratching my eyes out, but hey, at least it’s not the flu. #alwayslookonthebrightside

Here in Northern California, where I live, we have had rain and cold weather and now, this week and into next we are supposed to have sunny days in the low 70s. It’s a little crazy making. Like biologically we know we are still in “winter” but it feels like summer and everything – from bees, to plants, to humans – is confused.

I’ve decided, in an effort to re-establish some order to my world and get me back in the creative saddle, so to speak, to challenge myself to a blog a day this month.

Of course, I picked a short month to do this! #smartyfarty

To make it even easier – in theory – to write a short blog post everyday, I have made a list of 27 post ideas and listed them here. I pulled them from a variety of similar lists and just randomly put the list together. Here it is:

  1. Share your career journey.
  2. What’s in your bag?
  3. What are your favorite movies?
  4. What is your favorite childhood memory?
  5. Do you have an embarrassing story?
  6. What has been your greatest success in life so far?
  7. What are your most epic failures (and how did you overcome them)?
  8. What would you say to a younger version of yourself?
  9. What does a typical day in your life look like?
  10. What is your idea of the “perfect” day?
  11. If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be?
  12. What things make you happy?
  13. Tell us about your significant other.
  14. What things have you learned from your parents?
  15. What is one meal you love to cook?
  16. What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?
  17. What are your favorite binge-worthy shows?
  18. How did you come up with your blog name?
  19. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
  20. Detail your favorite childhood vacation.
  21. Tell us about your best friends and why they’re amazing.
  22. A list of things you don’t regret.
  23. That thing that happened in high school that pretty much changed your life forever.
  24. The hardest thing you’ve ever been through.
  25. Your day in photos {take a photo every hour from wake to sleep}
  26. An anti-bucket list: the things you hope to never do before you die.
  27. List of things that made you happy this month.

This way, when I sit down to write my post (hopefully first thing in the morning, not at 11:50 PM like I used to do the poem of the day!) I don’t have to think about what to write and can just get started.

I also hope to keep the posts somewhat short and sweet, but of course you know me and that means I reserve the right to a) write about whatever I want b) write as much or as little as I want.

You know, I’m that girl who likes to have a recipe just so I can deviate from it!

On that note…

This counts as day one, since it is day one of February.

See you tomorrow, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!
